Cilantro is one of those herbs that one either loves or despises. Some say it tastes horrid and stinks while others like me just cant have enough. This herb is very easy and satisfying to grow, so of course I am over run with it! It always gets away from me and goes to seed which is not a bad thing. The cilantro seeds are great too. When cilantro goes to seed, it becomes coriander. I love the citrus hints of the fresh seeds and often nibble them. I do not eschew eating the flowering tops either. Coriander essential oil is alleged to have skin clarifying benefits. Recently I made a coriander lotion that both I and my daughter are loving! I cannot attest to any actual medicinal benefits, but I can attest to the divine light herbaceous scent! This lotion is not offered for sale yet because I am terribly slow with things on the Crafted Herbals end these days-no labels made-and it's still sitting on the table waiting patiently. I am slathering my face and body daily from my own giant personal bottle, so, selfishly-what's the hurry? The two other jobs that I do have picked up to consume a great chunk of my time which is great for purchasing power but not so awesome for having time to lend to new creations, and the garden is going wild!
