Most chamomile soap is made with chamomile extracts, chamomile flowers, and some sort of fragrance other than chamomile essential oil. I fantasize about the ultimate chamomile soap. I can make this soap with more chamomile active constituents than any other soap currently available but it will not be cheap. The afor mentioned ingredients don't jack the price sky high, but if precious and true chamomile essential oil goes into the recipe, expect a soap that costs at least $1 more per ounce. Expect it to be well worth the price for the powerful actives found in chamomile essential oil. The essential oil is, after all, the most concentrated essence of the plant. I'm contemplating the perfect mild saponified oil blend for this mission and I'm gravitating to pure olive oil. Olive oil absorbs the constituents of herbs wonderfully and I do want the highest possible concentration of herbal actives in this soap. With this mission in mind, I do not intend to stop with one form of extraction. Many chamomile soaps contain chamomile extract, but not many contain several extracts created in several ways. Yes, this soap will be worth it! It is going to take some time to make because I will make the extracts myself. I must warn that I may be inclined to hoard this soap for myself. It may be made and never released except to a select special few. I confess that I become a possessive greedy soap dragon from time to time!
