This is Miso. She had a horrible start in life. She was born to a neglected teen Mom in a dreadful tumble down trailer. The people that lived there barely afforded cat food, much less vet visits, spaying or neuterings or flea treatments. Something happened to Miso's eyes, she felt puny, as did her nearly wild siblings. Some dwindled and died. One human cried a little, but did nothing to help, just brushing the misery around off as 'natural selection'. Miso kept on living, getting what she could, when she could. She was cuddled and petted, and fed cheaply. Her eye had a small cloud. Then, a great wind and rain came, like no one there had seen before! It was horrible and terrifying. With a thunderous crash, three mighty trees smashed down onto that decrepit trailer! The humans fled into the soaking scary night, the cats fled too, where they could. When the storm died, they huddled miserably in the smashed wet wrecked old trailer. A week later, the people came back, scooped up Miso and what others they could, to hopefully take to better places. That is how Miso came to us. Her mother is still quarantined in my workroom with Biscuit, waiting on their appointment for shots & spaying in October. Miso has had vet visits, rounds of drops and other meds, and it has been determined that she has glaucoma, and her eye needs to be removed. We need $1400 more, as fast as we can get it! She is currently on meds to control her symptoms but they are not easing her completely. All proceeds from purchases, less taxes, will be going to Miso. I am not the type to wheedle for hand outs.
